Parent Coaching

“The thing about parenting rules is there aren’t any. That’s what makes it so difficult.”

–Ewan McGregor

“I’ve tried everything,” may be a recurring thought you have had about parenting. Parent coaching allows you to learn and practice parenting skills in a supportive space.

Benefits:

  • Bring joy back into parenting

  • Increase confidence as a parent

  • Enhance child’s ability to problem-solve

What to Expect:

Parents will meet for a 50 minute session to learn and practice parenting skills to use at home. Parent coaching involves homework and self-reflection.

Filial therapy: Although filial therapy is technically considered family therapy, I conduct mine differently as the child is not present for session. Parents will learn play therapy skills in session and conduct weekly play sessions at home to practice skills.
