Frequently asked questions.

  • Email me your interest in services. We can schedule a free consult if you are unsure what you need. You will fill out an in-depth intake form (background information about you or your child), sign the informed consent paperwork, and provide billing information. Please submit documents at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

  • The first session is the intake session. This session is 1.5 hours. We will discuss policies, information you provided on the intake paperwork, and begin to build rapport. I will ask more questions during this session than other sessions. For play therapy, the child client will not be present for the first session, only parents.

  • Sessions are about 50 minutes in duration. The frequency of sessions depends on treatment goals (weekly to biweekly to start). The structure of sessions depends on your needs and interests. If you are more interested in writing, we may do more creative writing or poetry based activities. I will always check-in to ensure you are comfortable with a modality.

  • Intake Session: $200

    Individual Session: $150

    Family Session: $170

I accept credit, debit, HSA, or FSA. All payment will be charged at the start of the scheduled session.

*I don’t take insurance at this time. A superbill will be provided if you would like to file with your insurance.

  • Together, we will create specific and measurable treatment goals that we will continue to assess throughout sessions. Remember healing takes time and effort and sometimes we can discount the small changes.

  • Yes. I provide telehealth per your request depending on the service needed. I encourage in-person sessions as experiential therapy requires more materials and movement.

*Play and family therapy need to be in-person due to the use of toys.

  • I encourage continuity of care. With a written release of permission, I can collaborate with other counselors, pediatricians, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, etc.

  • This is a difficult question to answer as everyone is so different. I always think about it in terms of how long a challenge has persisted. If this is something that you have been struggling with for your entire life, it may take longer to resolve. Remember, therapy is not a microwave, it is an oven.
